Scharnberg Park Annual Halloween Hike

Clay County Conservation Board will be hosting the annual trick or treat night at Scharnberg Park. The Halloween Hike will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Children ages 12 and under will be able to walk around the campground where campers will be waiting with decorated campsites and of course candy and treats!

Campers are encouraged to decorate their campsites. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Set-up must be completed by 5:00 PM Saturday evening.

There will be no vehicle traffic in the park between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:30 PM.

Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item that will be donated to the Upper Des Moines Opportunities food pantry in Spencer, Iowa.
